Empirical Support for Therapy Animal Interventions White Paper

As the field of Animal-Assisted Interventions (AAI) rapidly grows in practice and public awareness, the body of empirical evidence supporting work with therapy animals has also become increasingly robust. The existing research on AAI is varied in its focus on populations and specific applications, but the overall findings point to the fact that interactions with therapy dogs and other therapy animals can benefit a wide range of human conditions.

Continually Improving the Field Through Research

To further advance our mission, Pet Partners is committed to ongoing industry research that supports the field of animal-assisted interventions and provides data to improve our programs and initiatives. Through our partnership with the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI), we strive to make the healing benefits of the human-animal bond accessible to all.
