Pre-Adoption Screening
We want you to be happy with your new pet. To this end, we screen both dogs and potential owners for a good match, and to avoid future problems with dogs that aren't suitable for adoption. Our animals are vaccinated and tested for common diseases. The adoption fee includes microchipping for dogs, spaying or neutering, which is often done prior to adoption. Dogs are temperament tested, and we do not accept animals with a history of aggression towards humans. In order to make the adoption process as pleasurable and successful as possible, we do screen adoptive homes, and follow-up after adoption. Some of our animals require fenced yards or a home visit. We also make an effort to crate-train and housebreak dogs.
