FILLING OUT THE REGISTRATION PACKET
Be sure to fill out all sections of each form, provide your signature where needed, and include the photo and fee. Please note that processing your packet will be delayed or mailed back if any part of it is incomplete.
Packets must be received in an appropriate fashion (i.e. stained, torn or illegible packets may be returned), if you need a clean packet, contact Pet Partners to email or mail a packet to you.
Make a copy of your completed registration packet for your records.
PACKETS ARE PROCESSED IN THE ORDER THEY ARE RECEIVED
Due to the volume of packets received, we cannot “rush” the processing of your packet. There are no exceptions.
The turnaround time for processing is four weeks. Please allow the time for processing before calling or emailing to check on the status of your packet. Each phone/email received delays the processing of packets including your own. If you want to know whether your packet has been received, be sure to mail it “Return Receipt Requested.”
DO NOT SCHEDULE A VISIT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR ACCEPTANCE LETTER
You are not eligible to visit or represent yourself as a Pet Partners Team until you have the acceptance letter in hand.
REGISTERING MORE THAN ONE ANIMAL PARTNER
If you are registering more than one handler and or more than one animal, you must submit a complete packet for each additional handler / animal you are registering, including required steps and team evaluation, with the steps in the correct order. Be sure to make copies of each step, even if the information is the same, for example a health screening form must be included for each packet that a handler is registering with that animal. Packets that are missing steps will be sent back to you.
PROVIDE AN EMAIL, ALL CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL
If you list an email address on your registration form, then correspondence will be sent to that address. Please add Delta Society to your accepted email list to avoid your letter ending up in your spam, junk or bulk email box.
EMAIL YOUR PHOTO
E-mailing your photo to email@example.com saves us time and we are able to get your acceptance letters and badges to you more quickly. Please follow instructions on the registration packet page and make sure that the name with your picture is the same as your packet (if your full name is Marcus and you go by Mark please make sure both the packet and picture are labeled Mark). Be sure to mail your registration packet first and then email your photo to us.
Please DO NOT send your badge photo on a CD or disk.
USING MULTIPLE NAMES / CHANGING NAMES
If you use two last names, or have changed your last name, please let us know especially if it differs from what we have on file for you.
TEAM EVALUATION - PPST & PPAT
Be sure the Evaluator provides you with your Team Evaluation score sheet, it must be included with the submission of your packet. Team Evaluators will administer your Pet Partners® Skills Test (PPST) and Pet Partners® Aptitude Test (PPAT). Your evaluator will have test forms and score sheets at the evaluation site. Please refer to your Pet Partners® Team Handler Training Manual to familiarize yourself with each exercise and evaluation requirements.
DOUBLE AND TRIPLE CHECK YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE SENDING
Review all of the Steps one more time to ensure you have each piece completed in its entirety.
